Origin and Provenance

Origin uncertain, presumably East France. The manuscript was at Murbach in the fifteenth century when it was used there for strengthening bindings. Formed part of the collection of J. J. Bruand before it passed into the Municipal Library in 1826.

Script Commentary

Script is pre-Caroline minuscule: open a seems to be the rule; c has a knob-like fore-stroke; the top of curves to the left; ligatures are frequent.
