Script Commentary

Script is a rather gauche but clear half-uncial: the bow of b is broad and often open, a form not infrequent in half-uncial of French origin; uncial G occurs; the shoulder of r is high; leans to the right and stops abruptly. Marginal instructions saec. IX to an early copyist are seen on foll. 134v ('hec scribere') and 140 ('usque hic scribe').
