Script is Insular majuscule and minuscule, passages often beginning with the higher and continuing with the lower script; at the foot of columns the scribe even drops into cursive minuscule; uncial A with the thorn-like bow is often used at the beginning of words; Z goes far below the line and has the peculiar Insular form. Celtic vernacular glosses occur. |
