Script Commentary |
Script is a graceful early half-uncial, pleasantly irregular: a is open and generally small; c and e extend above the other small letters; i often extends above the headline or below the base-line or both, apparently without any rule; suprascript cup-shaped u occurs near line-ends; some ligatures are used at line-ends. Contemporary marginalia and variant Latin and Greek readings in a small, bold, somewhat cursive half-uncial (MS 1395, p. 95) seen in the hand of the scribe. |
