Origin and Provenance

Written probably in Italy. Was at St Denis, Paris, certainly by the fifteenth century. The four Vatican leaves belonged to C. Dupuy (†1594), who gave them to Fulvio Orsini in 1574 and 1575. The lost leaf belonged to Pierre Pithou (†1596). The three Berlin leaves were bought at the van Limborch auction at the Hague in 1862; they are now kept in the Tübingen Universitätsbibliothek.
