Written in Ireland. Rewritten in the ninth century at Clondalkin (Co. Leinster), as is proved by the ex-libris entered by one of the hands of the upper script: '(Libe)r trinitatis et sci cronáni filii lugaedón.' Both this and the similar scrap, MS Fragm. Aug. 17, were detached from the binding of MS Aug. 167, the Irish manuscript of Bede. |

Script is somewhat compressed Irish majuscule: n is minuscule, R majuscule, both S and ꞅ occur. The following words can be deciphered on fol. 1v reproduced on CLA plate: '(initial) O . . . . tris unigenitus . . gnus mariae . . mogenito humani generis . . . missum.' |
