Script Commentary

Script is a rather clumsy Anglo-Saxon majuscule: uncial A occurs with its bow pointed and extending below the line; d is regularly minuscule, n mostly; R with the shaft going far below the line is regularly majuscule, S mostly; both branches of y curve to the right. Corrections in Anglo-Saxon minuscule saec. VIII–IX and in Caroline minuscule of the Fulda type saec. IX. Some Old High German glosses scratched in with stylus.
