Origin and Provenance |
Origin uncertain, probably Italy. Used as fly-leaf in a ninth-century manuscript from a West German scriptorium. At the beginning of the fifteenth century this manuscript was in the possession of Magister Amplonius Ratinck who bequeathed his library to the Erfurt Collegium Amplonianum founded by him in 1412. |

Script is a regular uncial with the letters generously spaced: the bow of A is pointed; the lower bow of B protrudes; S is often top-heavy, and the sloping form occurs at line-end. Corrections in small uncial. |
