Origin and Provenance

Written presumably in England. The thirteenth-century theological manuscript in whose binding our fragment was used had the following entry on fol. 72v: 'Iste liber est fris Iohis de ezselinga ordinis frm minorum' (saec. XIII–XIV). Belonged to Friedrich Gottlieb Julius von Bülow (†1816) whose library was sold in 1836. Destroyed or lost in World War II.
