Script is a well-controlled, rather squatty Caroline minuscule of an early type: the bow of a starts at the head-line; d is uncial; m is broad; ss run together; the et ligature ends in a short tag, cf. CLA 9.1281; descenders are rather long. Only faint traces of writing are visible on the front cover.
