Origin and Provenance

Written probably in Southern Germany, and in the same scriptorium as CLM 14470 which comes from St Emmeram at Regensburg (CLA 9.1300). Our manuscript later belonged to the monastery of Altomünster near Freising, where it was dismembered in the fifteenth century and used in bindings.

Script Commentary

Script, an early Caroline minuscule by several scribes, is slightly reminiscent of the Rhaetian type: z has an unusual form.
