Script Commentary

Script of the main hand is a pointed Anglo-Saxon minuscule; parts of foll. 17r–v, etc., show a more cursive Anglo-Saxon minuscule; the script seems irregular and perhaps tries to imitate the exemplar; ligatures include forms with e having the lower bow reversed and st; some short passages are in crude Continental minuscule influenced by Insular (fol. 56v) and in Insular minuscule showing Continental influence (fol. 58).
