Date | II? (101 - 200) |
Origin and Provenance |
Origin uncertain. Found in Egypt in the region of the Fayûm. A terminus ante quem for the Latin is furnished by the Greek cursive on the verso, to which experts assign the date saec. II–III. The fragment suffered from humidity during and after World War II. Belonged to the collection of the Castello Sforzesco before coming to the Università Statale. |

Script Commentary |
Script is Rustic capital of an old type: H and N are distinctly broad; the foot of L makes a distinct right angle with the stem; U is V-shaped. To be compared with Herculaneum Pap. 1475 (CLA 3.387) with which it has some resemblances. |
