Script Commentary

Script is sloping ancient cursive: E has the leaning and branch-like form characteristic of the period; the upper stroke of S is a longish, straight or rising oblique turning up at the end. A Greek line, apparently by the same hand, is repeated eight times on the papyrological recto. Apparently traces of Greek letters are discernible at the bottom of the Latin side.

Notes

☛ChLA 18 664. ☛Formerly France, Private collection Bouriant number unknown (cf. Studi Calderini e Paribeni 2 p. 277: numbered on the glass as ‘P. Bouriant 49’, but the same number has been used for P. Bouriant 33, so apparently some mistake has been made). ☛DCLP.
