Origin and Provenance

Written presumably in England. In the late Middle Ages the leaf was folded vertically with the recto outside and used as a jacket for a booklet of narrow size.

Script Commentary

Script is Anglo-Saxon majuscule with d and , n more frequent than N and R than r, and S regularly; the tail of ends in a small wedge. Minor eighth-century corrections.
