Script Commentary |
Script is uncial with half-uncial (d, m) and cursive (L, i-longa) admixture: a and b have two forms; H is capital; i-longa is used irregularly and promiscuously; m is squarish; N limps, with the second upright distinctly shortened, a form probably due to Greek influence; O is narrow, here and there small; the bows of P and q are thin; S is large and goes below the line; U is broad and cup-shaped; Y is made with two strokes, not three, the second branch continued below the line. Greek influence seems apparent in the forms of E, I-longa, N, shrunken O, and Y. |
