Script Commentary |
Script is Rustic capital: A has the form seen in the Vatican Aulus Gellius manuscript (CLA 1.74); the first letter in the second column seems to be a ꝺ similar to the form in the London 'De bellis Macedonicis' fragment (CLA 2.207); strokes at the foot of the line tend to be shaded as in the Gellius palimpsest. The one word clearly decipherable is 'ETIAM' in the penultimate line of the second column. |
