| Script Commentary |
Script is sloping, calligraphic early half-uncial with some resemblance to the Berlin legal manuscript, De Iudiciis (CLA 8.1033): A with the pointed bow occurs; the hasta of e ends in a thickening; G is uncial and has a fine, small tail; L goes below the line; N is broad, its oblique thin; o is shrunk; s has the uncial form; the top of ꞇ is unusually thin, long, and somewhat ticked at both ends. To be compared with CLA 2.248, 8.1039, 8.1042, 10.**1042, and 10.1577, all also legal texts on parchment. Two Greek scholia are entered in the margin on the recto. |
